I have done professional wedding photography for many, many people since 1992, and I still get “butterflies” before every wedding. This is not because I am unsure of myself. In fact, I am quite confident about the quality of the images. It is because I know that people have placed their trust in my expertise to provide record of one of the most important milestones in their lives. 
Grandparents wedding photographs are among my families most cherished heirlooms. Looking at those old wedding images, I feel I know more about who my ancestors were as young people.
A new bride will excitedly show her wedding album to friends and family to share the day’s excitement. Gradually the album will be brought out less and less. It will likely lay on a bookshelf for months or even years. Then, one day, perhaps for an anniversary or to show the kids or grandchildren, she will open it. There it will be: the people, emotion, character, and elegance of her wedding day.
